exploring everyday faith,
extraordinary love
Lana Usilton
Lana is an award-winning Christian writer. She’s a chaplain, wife, mother, and grandmother who writes to encourage Christians to embrace the depth of God’s love and walk more closely with Him. She draws practical connections from His Word to everyday life, helping readers live out their faith with hope and grow in a deeper relationship with God.
A family tragedy transformed her faith through the discovery of God’s immense love. That realization gave her courage to face personal and spiritual challenges and sparked a sense of adventure in reading and studying the Bible.
This led Lana to write as a way of serving the Lord. She is a two-time finalist in the Northwest Cascade Writing Contest and won first place for her devotion, Cast A Line. She also won first place from Idahope Christian Writers for her creative nonfiction entry, Rooted By The River. Lana shares encouragement through her blog and is working on writing devotionals and books.
When not writing, Lana enjoys exploring Idaho and the U.S. with her husband and their dog, playing the banjo, gardening, and spending time with family.
